One of my first solo projects, back in the late 90's: fresh out of college (at my first employer, Addison, designing annual reports). My director handed me a sticker (the one shown on the cream band) and said, "Design an invitation package around this. Our client has a ton of these, and they need to keep costs down. Can you do it?" Of course! The American Friends of Les Arts Florissants is a group that raises funds for a French opera troupe, and they were holding a fundraiser. The copywriting gave a nod to the French aspect of the relationship, and all cards were housed in a felt-paper holder. Everyone was pleased with the result, and I found a true love for letterpress and typography, and the impact it can bring, within budget.
